The good thing about being an RPG fan is that we get good value for money. Whereas an action game can be ten to twenty hours long, it’s not uncommon for an RPG to be forty to sixty. That’s a lot of game.
The bad thing about being an RPG fan is that less of them seem to come out. This is understandable, it’s easier to churn out this year’s sports franchise by simply changing the player rosters and making a couple of superficial tweaks, whereas a good RPG needs tons and tons of wholly original content.
